       "Don't ForgetAbout What Has Been Spoken"

            One of Satan’s biggest deceptions is to make us think that what God has said and showed us will never come to past. He will try to bring thoughts to your mind that contradict the promises of God. He’ll try to get you to look at every wave and wind around you. He will even try to attach symptoms of sickness and disease to your body. But notice I used the word “try”. The bible is clear that the enemy can’t pull this trick over on everyone. The English Standard bible tells us this in 1 Peter 5:8, “Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” If it was possible for him to just devour whomever he wanted, he would not have to first seek someone out. But he goes around looking for those whose minds are pre-occupied with worldly lust, troubles and life issues; those who have taken their eyes off of the promises of God; those who have begun to value the futile things.

 

But we have come to serve notice to the enemy: That starting at this very moment we will purposely treat our minds as that of a filtration system; one that interrogates every thought that tries to gain entry into our lives. Those thoughts that are not in alignment with the plan and will of God for our lives will be immediately held captive and will not be permitted to move forward until they line up to the will of God (2 Corinthians 10:4-5).

 

It’s time! We’ve got to start doing this church! We’ve got to start putting the word into practice! We must understand that the word of God is SO POWERFUL! That once released into the atmosphere it’s coming back, and it’s not coming back empty handed (Isaiah 55:11). Those words, thoughts and plans that God spoke over us before the foundations of the earth are still working on our behalf today. It can’t stop working for us. It’s moving RIGHT NOW! It’s operating RIGHT NOW! It’s causing things to work out for our good RIGHT NOW! Glory be to God! My friends, it does not matter what the devil is doing, DON’T FORGET ABOUT WHAT HAS BEEN SPOKEN BY GOD! Hebrews 4:12 in the Amplified bible says, For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective].When Jesus cursed that fig tree in Mark 11:14, it took a whole day for the results to show up. But right after he spoke “May no one ever eat fruit from you again,” don’t you know that those powerful faith full words went to work immediately. Even after Jesus went on about his business, those words were still working. They wrapped themselves around the very root of that tree so tightly, that it choked the very life out of it. Now if it did that to a tree, it can do the same thing to sickness that tries to attach itself to you or debt that tries to creep into your home? Not only will it dry up what does not belong, it will also bring to life what has been lifeless. Jesus’ words proved this to us when he spoke to the three day old corpse of Lazarus.

 

It does not matter how long it has been since the word was spoken, if God said it…then know the WORD is working and will prove to be effective! I come to encourage you, get your mind on the word of God. Read it, trust it and expect it to do what it said it would.
